Laparoscopic Surgery
Laparoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive technique where a small device, called a laparoscope, is inserted into the body through a tiny incision. The laparoscope, equipped with a video camera and light, allows the surgeon to observe the internal organs in real-time. This type of surgery is used for diagnostic and treatment purposes, particularly for gynaecological conditions like fibroids or ovarian cysts. The procedure is also commonly referred to as “keyhole surgery” due to the small size of the incision.
